People talking about concurrency, parallelism, and async as if it's some mystical shit like Quantum Deadlocks or Schrödinger's stack trace or something.
What do you mean "sync-over-async"? From any perspective in most software there's multiple levels of concurrency/async/parallelism, why are we talking about this as if it's mystical wizardry?

Try calling `block_on` in an async context in Rust (with the tokio runtime) and see what happens.
It's not that easy and languages differ greatly in their way of implementing async (the linked post is just _one_ example)!
Make a folder on your computer or an album on your phone and save images there that make you smile.

When I drive a car without a valid tag, proof of insurance or having a valid driver's license, I get stopped by the police, my car will be towed and I can either walk home or might end up in jail and face severe fines, a probation period and loss of my driver's license.
When Microsoft runs 45 gas turbines without a state permit, they get 45 days to fix it and a $1.07M fine (which is petty cash for an operation this size) and don't even have to power down the turbines.
I figured out what annoys me SO MUCH with the flood of "I made a thing" posts in the #retrocomputing community and it's evidently LLM vibe-coded.
It's about the same as if hundreds of people arrived in some woodworking forum, proudly posting "I built a bookshelf" with pictures of an IKEA Billy, or "I cooked lasagna" with pictures of a microwaved defrozen industrial crap labelled "Lasagna" on a recipes website.
I don't mean to gatekeep, but maybe if you're not interested in getting good at something as a hobby, just don't pretend you're good at something?
